Lucas Debari, like many other backcountry pros, must have something wrong with him. Imagine rag-dolling down a hundred foot pillow line, getting back up, then doing it all over again. Including the rag doll.
That’s exactly what happens in the above video, Lucas reckons he only lands one in every four or five attempts at these monster pillow heavy faces.
In fact we’re wrong, this is at heart the embodiment of snowboarding, the same mentality that gets you back up after you taco a rail or catch that first front edge. Perseverance is the essence of our sport, which is why watching him stick those lines in so good.
Just imagine what it must feel like though. Roll on next winter already!
