The final part of the Whitelines – Route One crew’s Russian Odyssey took the team to Perm. The city was a centre of tank and missile production in the Soviet Union, and until the 90s, was closed to all outsiders.
The Route One team were the first western snowboard crew to visit the city and found a seriously vibrant snowboard scene. They also found Roman, the epically friendly mate of the local resort owner, who had a penchant for 75% moonshine and dried fish-heads…
