Our favourite UK superstar Jenny Jones has landed herself a prestigious podium spot in the US by finishing second in the Snowbasin leg of the Dew Tour slopestyle competitions. Jenny, who qualified through to the finals in first place, beat many of the world’s best riders but narrowly lost out to Spencer O’Brien, who claimed first.

Ms O’Brien, last year’s defending Dew Tour slopestyle champion, set the level early with a run that included an off the toe front 540, followed by a switch back five and a back five. Jenny answered right back, but her cab five and frontside seven weren’t quite enough to beat Spencer’s score of 91.

They were enough however to keep her ahead of wildcard entry Megan Ginter who got third, as well as US star Jamie Anderson, who finished in fourth. Kjersti Buaas and Kimi Fasani rounded out the top six who competed in the final.

The Dew Tour, which consists of superpipe and slopestyle contents in three different US resorts every winter, may not be as prestigious as the TTR World Tour, but its combination of big money prizes and big name riders makes it a significant fixture on the pro-snowboard scene.

As well as being impressive in it’s own right, Jenny’s result puts her at second place in the overall tour rankings, after her third place finish in Breckenridge earlier in the season. With just five points separating her and the new number one, Spencer O’Brien, Ms Jones is in a great position to compete for the tour title. Nice one Jenny!
