Eyeball this incredible first double wildcat from Christy Prior. She has joined the elite club who have landed an inverted double backflip including Katie Ormerod and the first Brit to-do-it Aimee Fuller (see their doubles here: KO, AF). Christy’s one was a bit different to the norm though, she added an indy – grabbing it the whole way through the trick.
With eyes for Olympic Slopestyle Gold at Sochi next year, the goofy-riding 24 year-old New Zealander is one of the most rapidly developing young riders on the scene. Her double is a sign that the girls are now stepping up, the level of performance has been sky-soaring – it is an exciting period for women’s snowboarding as the recent X Games Tignes final showed. You never know, we may even one day see a women riding in the Air and Style. That would be awesome, wouldn’t it?
