You’ve heard of the Gumball Rally right? You know, the competition where people with more money than sense thrash their super-cars across the US? Well, this is the snowboarding equivalent – a competition to see how many UK dryslopes teams of shredders can hit up in the space of one weekend. The first of its kind, the event is organised by the snow-focused charity Snow Camp, which gives children from deprived inner city areas the chance to learn to snowboard. The charity is inviting teams of up to four riders (or skiers) to get involved by hooning it round the country picking up points for each artificial slope they ride on. Check out www.snow-camp.co.uk/snowballrally for all the details.
The event will kick off at the Milton Keynes snowdome on November 19th, and finish back there on the 21st with a massive party. And here’s the best bit – Whitelines wants YOU to be their official team. Yes, that’s right, we’ll be selecting one crew of entrants to be the official Whitelines representatives in the race. We’ll kit them out with T-shirts, beanies and stickers for their boards and we’ll write about their adventures in the next issue of the mag. All you have to do to be Team Whitelines is email us on [email protected] with some photos of yourselves riding and/or 100 words on why you are the best men or women or animals for the job.
