Days of Thunder is the brainchild of legendary Snowboy Productions from the USA and Swedish pro snowboarder PJ Gustafsson. A completely unique, international snowboarding event that has never been seen on Swedish soil before its inception in April 2025. Not a competition but a unique event that is built on community, creativity and having fun together regardless of age, background or nationality. No rules, no judges, no scoring, no crowds, just riding together and having fun, shooting/filming.
“No rules, no judges, no scoring, no crowds, just riding together and having fun, shooting/filming.”
After four long days of building the park at a new location from last year’s site, the specially designed Days of Thunder park stood ready in the blistering sunshine with new, completely unique features, some that had never ever been built before.
Invited riders from all corners of Scandinavia as well as USA, Canada & Bulgaria started to drop in to get a feel for the park that they would ride for the next three days filled with five hour long photo/film sessions and 100% real snowboarding. Among the group of invited riders there were national snowboard team members, snowboarding legends, X-Games participants and a Finnish TV celebrity & stuntman!
This year’s park and event turned out even better than the previous one. The new site was perfect, the weather and snow conditions were great and there was only text book Method airs and big smiles seen throughout the entire weekend.

Some highlights were definitely Ruben Rosenfors big, stylish airs next to Thor’s Hammer, Zenja Potapov’s ever so creative lines, Kevin Rahko and Nigo Omma Simma using the left hip as a jump going really big with straight airs and 360s and the siblings Blanca and Frej Linnes following each other through the park with smooth lines and style, appearing to be almost synchronized.
Finnish upsatrt Leo Haappalainen caught the vibe, going bigger and getting gnarlier for pretty much every single lap he took through the park to the point that he during the last 15 minutes of the session on the final day decided to step it up and ride the top of the hammer. Something that until then seemed nearly impossible and that no one had even tried previously. What started with an insane 50-50 on the top of the hammer ended with a Frontflip off it within the last minutes of the final day. What an insane ending to an absolutely perfect weekend.
