Fun fact: alongside being one of the most aptly named events on the calendar, Eastern Boarder’s Last Call is also one of the longest-running contests in the eastern US. For nearly 25 years, riders from around the world have flocked to Loon Mountain for a shot at the $20,000 prize purse.
This year, the Rome crew rolled in deep and proceeded to dish out a pretty thorough beating to the burly mix of steel and snow on offer. Case in point: a seriously hectic rail setup, complete with an Oakley logo jammed right through the middle. Cooper Whittier — Rome’s latest recruit — wasted no time putting that one to bed, locking into a heavy front board and taking it the full distance.
