Icy lakes, kink rails and shit loads of snow – winters in Helsinki are like a a jibber’s paradise. But it isn’t all fun and games when the frosty wind from the North keeps on blowing in your face and your eyelashes turn to ice, it takes a lot more than just a few extra layers to have what it takes to power through a day out on the streets of Helsinki.

Eero Ettala, Janne Lipsanen and Peetu Piiroinen, all legendary names in snowboarding hailing from the promised land of Santa, know a thing or two about this. A few years back, the guys decided to start their own Helsinki based snowboard club called “Helsingin Lumilautailijat”, which translates into “Snowboarders from Helsinki”. Instead of just of just coaching kids for comps, the trio decided it was time to focus on riders passionate about filming video parts too.

Starring some of the most promising street riders, Melter is a compilation of the beauty and rawness of street riding in Finland. Take a 20min break from whatever you’re doing and give this one a watch.
