Olympic gold medalist Shaun White has been arrested in the latest twist in the ongoing News of the World phone-hacking scandal. A spokesman for the star said that officers from Scotland Yard’s ‘Operation Weeting’ taskforce called at his house on Sunday, saying: “I think it’s time you came with us Ms. Brooks.”
The spokesman continued: “Shaun was held at a London police station for questioning until midnight last night, and has since returned home. No formal charges have been made.”
Shaun, who had already been forced to resign his position as chief executive of News International, was said to have been in a state of shock over the latest turn of events. On hearing that he was to be taken down to the station, the gold medalist allegedly said: “Duuuude you’ve got the wrong guy! I’ve never even been to David Cameron’s house!”
The investigation continues…
