Designed for the new generation of rider that can’t drop a whacking great face without celebrating by poetically buttering their way towards the cameraman to finish their Instagram ‘part’, or turn the lift waiting area into a flatland playground to the frustration of the old-timer in ancient 10-metre Rossignol toothpicks, the Nidecker Sensor is back, and still all about just three things – good times, good vibes, and good fun.
Last year we raved about the Sensor’s ability to turn our mates green with envy, as we took it not only for some mega laps around the park, but off every sidehit on the horizon and on some serious blasts down the piste, resulting in disgustingly pleased-with-ourselves grinning at the end of each run.
“It’s all about good times, good vibes, and good fun”
The loss of quite a few mates is thanks, in part, to the Sensor’s SideKick tech. By creating more lift under the contact points, Nidecker have seriously upped this true-twin’s toolbox for increaeased stability, float and forgiveness. Its ability to spin off the nose and tail like a knee-high sugar-rushing brat with ease and steeze is something you’ll be wanting to do at every opportunity with this under your boots.
The Sensor’s playfulness is taken up a degree or three more, with rocker in the nose and the tail, Nidecker’s exclusive and super tough N-7000 sintered base lobbing a load of glide to your ride, and a camber between the feet that spring-loads it with a big dose of explosive pop.
Rider’s looking to take that playful and creative riding to bigger features at higher speeds might want to check out the new Sensor Plus. That said, it’s hard to argue with what’s already on offer here.
