Mid-stiff yet mellow for a more playful ride on the mountain, the Lunar keeps its promise of functionality with a slew of features designed to keep you out there for longer. Underfoot, Nidecker have slammed their trusty and lightweight B.F.T Vibram Ascent outsole for a won’t-let-you-down grip in the wildest of bootpacking conditions, whilst a Dual Zone Boa configuration – complete with all-new lace for 2021 – ensures that it’s delivering the most customisable shred-ready fit possible to your feet, and a solid hold on your heel.

Those of you looking for comfort whilst crushing their laps won’t be left disappointed either, as you’re getting Nidecker’s often gushed-over asymmetrical 3D Molded Tongue that, when thrown into the mix with the Silver-Level Thermo Heat Moldable liner, produces the greatest level of comfort the Lunar has ever offered.

And then there’s the all-important question of ticking the ‘stylish’ and ‘badass’ boxes. There’s no doubt that the Swiss snow masters have introduced a more feminine tinge to the Lunar for 2021 with a hit of blue and a muted, squint-and-you’ll-see-it floral pattern, especially when compared to last year’s meaty black and wine-stain colourway (a design we’re still pretty taken with). Then again, if there’s a more badass colourway out there than black-on-black, then we’re sure as hell yet to hear about it.
