First weekend of March we were invited out to Hafjell, Norway, to witness first-hand when some of snowboarding’s finest competed for the X Games Norway gold in Big Air, Slopestyle and Knuckle Huck.
On top of the mind-blowing snowboard performances that we were blessed with throughout the whole weekend, we also got to sit down with some of our favourite athletes – Rene Rinnekangas, Sven Thorgren, Jamie Anderson, Stale Sandbech, Torgeir Bergrem, Marcus Kleveland and Fridge.
“It’s hard, and that’s why there aren’t a lot of people pursuing action sports”
In our second ‘behind the scenes’ edit, we caught up with one of our all-time favourite snowboarders, Jamie Anderson. This lady is badass, and it’s difficult to not be inspired by her positive can-do attitude and down-to-earth-like being, not to mention her mind-joggling snowboarding.
Jamie fills us in on what it was like to take home gold in US Open, how it was to film for her latest movie project ‘Unconditional’ and what her plans for the future are. She also fills us in on what it takes to be competing within Action Sports and what it is like try and balance all that comes with it, “It’s hard, and that’s why there aren’t a lot of people pursuing action sports” (Jamie Anderson).
If you missed our first X Games Norway ‘behind the scenes’ edit with Rene Rinnekangas and Sven Thorgren, make sure to give that a watch too.
Keep your eyes open for the next ‘X Games behind the scenes’ edit with Stale Sandbech and Torgeir Bergrem – dropping soon.
