The only all-women snowboarding comp is back for the 14th year! In 2020, this legendary event will take place at Bear Mountain in Big Bear from the 22nd-23rd February. Hosted by one of the most prolific female riders to date, Lindsey Jacobellis (10-time X Games Gold Medalist and 4-time US Olympian), we’re stoked that the team is back for yet another year to push women’s snowboarding.
“This event does an amazing job of empowering women and putting pros and amateurs together in a unique environment so we can pass along our experiences to the next generation”
Making the whole thing even better is that admission is free. It’s also designed by riders, so whether you’d be competing in snowboardcross or Big Air, you know that the comps have been thoroughly thought through by fellow snowboarders. New for this year is that the event will be the final qualifier into the USASA National Championships, which is pretty rad if you ask us.
“This is an event that I am extremely passionate about. It’s incredibly important to lay the foundation for the future of women’s snowboarding, and this event does an amazing job of empowering women and putting pros and amateurs together in a unique environment so we can pass along our experiences to the next generation.” – Lindsey Jacobellis.
Super Girl Snow Pro isn’t however just a comp – the idea behind it is to encourage all the lovely ladies out there to push themselves and gain the courage to take part in events like these. We’ve seen a huge push in female snowboarding over the last few years and we’re stoked that more and more girls shred events are happening, whether they’re comps or coaching sessions.
Check out the Super Girls Snow Pro website for more info on the event. And while you’re at it, give them a follow on Instagram and Twitter too @SupergirlPro.
