The Prima snowboard is the more advanced women’s directional all-mountain offering from Good Boards. Then again, it does come in a 153, so for the slightly lighter men out there, it’s still a viable option (just take a look at the Tester Verdict below).
With only a single centimetre of setback, the Prima has plenty of versatility to pop around into switch or take a couple laps through the park. Despite being a directional snowboard, it still retains a twin outline, so will feel balanced and responsive whichever way you point it. The bigger talking point here is the full camber. Though it’s not the most forgiving in nature, the classic bend remains the gold standard for delivering maximum pop, power, and response.

Good have decked the Prima out with a host of their most premium materials, including carbon and basalt stringers, a triax fibreglass layup, and a natural wood topsheet. Despite only sitting at a four in their flex rating, the Prima is primed to deliver a whole lot of snap and performance through the turn and off the lip.
As with all the bases in the line, the traditional plastics have been swapped out for a new, snowsports’ specific material known as Nivylen. It’s German, it’s stronger, it’s lighter and it absorbs up to three times more wax than a lot of the competition. It’s probably a good thing.
All of Good’s topsheets adhere to the all-natural, wood aesthetic, but this has to be the most striking in the range. Although not the cheapest, they definitely surpass their self proclaimed title – not just good; pretty damn epic.
