Why we chose the Lib Tech No.43 Snowboard: This new addition is gonna set the women’s scene on fire.

Few companies want their riders to rip as much as Lib Tech (they even refer to their own pro team as their ‘rippers’), and it shows with every board they create. As part of the new women’s collection, the No. 43 is an all-mountain destroyer, and one that packs some serious horsepower.

“The individual cambers under each foot will give you enough pop and grip needed to set up for spinning the kicker line or carving up the corduroy”

The medium flex gives the board a really versatile feel. The combination of tri and biax fibreglass layers result in a board with all the response and support you need for charging, with enough ‘press-ability’ and forgiveness to still have fun when you want to take your foot off the gas. The individual cambers under each foot will give you enough pop and grip needed to set up for spinning the kicker line or carving up the corduroy.

If conditions get icy, Lib’s Magne-Traction should serve as your trusty comfort blanket, keeping your edge firmly locked into the snow, regardless of how hard-packed it is out there. The serration-style edge increases contact points with the snow along the length of the board’s edge, without interfering with the overall forgiving feel of the board. A double-edged sword, if you will.

The No. 43 is constructed in Washington from eco-friendly Aspen and Paulownia wood and uses wind and water power for it construction. Some serious eco-points collected without having to sacrifice any core strength from the board, in other words.

“There’s few better starting points to begin your search from than the No. 43”

With all that tech, the rider who’s just starting out will probably struggle to make the most out of this turbo-charged board. For riders who don’t care where they ride, so long as it’s fast and fun – there’s few better starting points to begin your search from than the No. 43.

Tester’s Verdict

Stella PenttiWhitelines

“This thing was absolutely perfect! Faced with a classic Austrian May-time dump, this thing was there to make sure I would have the time of my life. The board kept me afloat even in the deepest of snow, it was super light weight and really really easy to cruise through the snow on.

“Hands down, this may be one of my favourite powder boards of all time, simply because of its pure simplicity”

Hands down, this may be one of my favourite powder boards of all time, simply because of its pure simplicity. Turning in powder was effortless, and I felt like I didn’t need to do much to keep afloat while cruising through the soft snow. This board is as light as it is fun. I reckon it would be a treat to cruise in between tight treelines on this mainly because it’s so easy to manoeuvre.

Lib Tech’s definitely done a good job by introducing the No43 to the ladies’ line. This thing works as well on the piste as it does in powder, but I’d definitely encourage anyone to buy this with its powder performance in mind since that is when it gets to shine.”
