New to the European market this year are Weston snowboards. Born in Minturn, Colorado, out of their love for their shred-community and the backcountry, Weston are experts in powder riding (who also know a thing or two about the resort).
The Rise board is a ripper of an all-terrain board. Its directional twin shape allows you to ride switch without any dramas, whilst the camber profile creates effective edge control. It also offers forgiveness by supplying contact points just outside of both inserts.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Weston if it couldn’t rip the backcountry. The Rise provides lightweight manoeuvrability and a 20mm set back stance, so you can slice through the deep stuff like a hot knife through butter.

Featuring their “Freedom Wood Core” the Rise is constructed from lightweight Paulownia and Poplar wood, with the addition of tip and tail carbon stringers running from the inserts out. This keeps the board soft and versatile enough for those wanting more slower speed, jib friendly, riding. It comes to life at the board’s limits when you’re sending ollies off sidehits or looking for that extra snap through the end of the turn.
It also has a sintered base, so if you get the chance to open it up this thing will really fly.
Weston are proudly standing for causes close to their heart. 10% of profits from the Rise go towards a scholarship through the Backcountry Babes program to provide AIARE (American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education) education for female riders (in other words, your money is going to a really good cause).
