Ride have drawn on years of R&D to create the Helix – an advanced board that’s focused on performance and technology. Although the Helix is touted as a freestyle board, it laughs in the face of those who think it can’t rip shit up around the whole mountain.
An asymmetric sidecut works to counteract your body’s biomechanical inefficiencies. In layman’s terms- your body is way better on your toes than you are your heels and the Helix has a tighter sidecut on the heel edge to balance that out. On snow this translates to super strong heelside carves, increased manoeuvrability and a more precise feeling.
“6 carbon stringers run underneath each binding to the opposite edge to increase response and torsional feel”

The hybrid camber profile lends itself well to popping off knuckles, kickers and wind lips and you’ll be rock solid when you’re picking up speed on the run-in as well. The rocker tip and tail help to mellow out the board and offer a little more float when you want to head off piste. Definitely not an out and out powder board so you’ll have to lean back a little, but it’ll fare better than a lot of park boards when you get some deep snow.
Double Impact Plates and Slimewalls work in unison to increase durability of the board, so you can slam it round a bit without too much issue. You’ll be sure to have some heavy landings at one point or another, so they’ll absorb some of the impact to give you a helping hand.
What’s a high-end board without a little carbon? 6 carbon stringers run underneath each binding to the opposite edge to increase response and torsional feel. You’ll be able to pedal turn better, tweak and poke the board out easily and won’t lose any of the tip to tail flex. 2 urethane wrapped carbon rods sit either end of the board to help absorb impact and add pop to the tip and tail. This is a stiff board, for smashing big freestyle and hooning down the hill, definitely not ideal for a newer rider.
