It’s been a while since we’ve seen a new variation on a double cork – most high level progression has been of the triple or quad variety of late. Fitting them that it’s four-flipping Maxence Parrot that cuts the latest notch into the bedpost of snowboard tricks with this: a backside double rodeo 1440.

First of all, no it doesn’t look like a usual double rodeo variation where the rider flips twice and then spins 180, 360 or 540, but Max did it so he can call it what he wants. Go learn one and then we’ll talk terminology. It looks like two 720s, both inverted over the back shoulder, with an almost nollied take off, so the name seems about right. Interesting too that he grabs indie, rather than the rodeo’s usual melon.

But secondly, and maybe more importantly, what’s that new board brand we spy on his feet? Nobaday? Really? Maybe it’s our tittering British sensibilities/love of crap innuendos, but it does sound quite a bit like a rude way of keeping the doctor away.

“Are you going to buy a Nobaday?”
“Why would I pay for one, there’s heaps for free in a ski resort!”

Either way, that was insane!
