It was only a matter of time before this happened. Well, a matter of time, a perfect kicker and a concerted (and let’s face it, f*cking impressive) effort. Jamie Nicholls just posted this on Facebook. He’s landed his first ever triple cork out at a GB Freestyle Team training camp in Austria. Get in!
Jamie had been referring to the camp, organised by GB coach Hamish McKnight for the Sochi Olympic hopefuls as a “triple cork training camp” when we spoke to him just before he left, and was very clear about his aim for the airbag session.
He is of course only the second Brit to land one after Billy Morgan back in March, and the trick puts him firmly in the frame as a contender for the Sochi slopestyle podium.
