Top 5: full movies of 2012

All turkey’d out? Can’t quite bring yourself to watch another rubbish animated kids movie on TV? Get a load of this instead – the top five most popular full length movies on Whitelines.com in 2012 in reverse chronological order:

5. Like a Stepchild

The Stepchild team is packed to the rafters with heavy hitters. From big names like JP Walker and Joe Sexton to up and comers like Alex Stathis and E-Man Anderson, this year’s offering from Stepchild is essential viewing for anyone with more than a passing interest in urban snowboarding.

4. Eurotic

We’re well chuffed that an all-girl flick made it into the top five and what a flick it is. Thirty minutes of pow, park and street bangers from some of Europe’s finest female rippers – including our very own Aimee Fuller around the 25 minute mark.

3. Pepping

As some of the most internet savvy riders in the game, there would be something seriously wrong if this year’s Helgasons movie wasn’t in the top 5. This is another masterpiece from Halldor, Eiki, Gulli and Coach Thunder with progressive riding, slams and hilarity in (almost) equal measure. And don’t miss Brits Will Smith and Charlie Rowland in the open section!

2. Nitro Hyped!

Nitro set out to produce a different type of team movie this year, focusing on the idea of riding as a team and having as much fun as possible, and they totally pulled it off with ‘Hyped!’. This one almost took us back to the Robotfood era of snowboard movie greatness – get it watched if you haven’t already, it will make your day better.

1. A2M

Who would have thought that a bunch of unknown Scandis (with appearances from one Halldor Helgason) would release the most viewed full movie on our site this year? Saying that, it’s far from being the type of thing that you’d slot into the DVD player to watch with your folks. Featuring copious amounts of vomit, human excrement and willies, this one’s not for the faint hearted, nor for the easily offended. Watch at your own risk.

Editor’s choice: Grindhouse – Scare Money

Scare Money is the second full length movie from the British Grindhouse crew. The guys travelled out to France, Austria, Finland, Canada, USA and Scotland and managed to produce one of the most legit British urban films ever. The guys have already been hard at work on the follow-up, filming out in Iceland this December and have got big plans for movie numero 3. Scare Money set the bar high and it’s safe to say the next one’s going to be pretty special too.
