We just got sent this teaser for a beautiful-looking new snowboard documentary about the scene in Eastern Europe called Slovakia. Now, as anyone who’s been watching the website this season knows, Polish ripper Wojtek Pawlusiak has some skills when it comes to street rails. Watching this sparked a bit of a debate in the office about the longest rails ever ridden. They reckon it’s the longest anyone’s ever front-boarded (that is, assuming he makes it in the movie). Ed pointed out this classic from the Matthieu Crepel invitational a few years back…
But we decided cos it’s kind-of flat and it’s on snow… and anyway, it’s been beaten by this indoor effort from Holland – which officially holds the Guinness World Record apparently.
Again, that’s not nearly as gnarly as Wojtek’s though. And really, it’s all about how tricky and gnarly it is. Cos otherwise this mincing effort would surely beat all the others…
…but that’s possibly the gashest thing we’ve ever seen :-) If anyone knows of a longer and/or gnarlier rail that’d put Wojtek’s efforts to shame, wang it up in the comments section below. But please, no more gay-bladers…
