Another Friday afternoon, another full-lengther coming along at just the right time. This time it’s Americana, the first full movie from L1 Premium Goods.
The outerwear company has quite a team, and everyone puts in a good shift. Brandon Hammid opens things up with a killer part, Sam Taxwood pulls shapes, and Dominik Wagner earns the ender with his usual hammers set to a Charlotte Gainsbourg soundtrack. All the while Lizard King is on hand as cheerleader-in-chief, and even gets a few shots of his own.
Americana has a real team vibe, where it’s clear the L1 crew are functioning as one unit; travelling together, filming together, living it up together. It feels like something from several years ago – in a good way.
