Here is the official highlights edit from the Protest Slopestyle competition at this year’s British Championships. Despite the heavy snowfall and limited visibility which forced organisers to cut the course down to just one kicker (at least the landings were nice ‘n’ soft…), there was a great turnout for the competition, with heavy hitters like Andy Nudds, Cody Hierons and Jamie Trinder all showing up to stake a claim for the title of British champ.
Eventually it was GB Freestyle Team rider and Olympic hopeful Sam Turnbull who took home the title, signing up last minute and sending a backside 900 deep into the landing to earn the nod of approval from the judges. George Scott and Andy Nudds rounded out the podium in second and third, while Katie Blundell stomped a backside 360 to take the title in the women’s category (you can read our full report from the event here).
Watch out for Becky Menday’s endless ragdoll at 00:36, Nuddsy’s standardly bolts switch backside 720 at 00:41 and Sam Turnbull’s winning backside 9 at 1:36. And don’t miss the mini interview with Billy Morgan at the end of the video – that cheeky smirk says it all really…
