Who Is The DC Focus For?

Whether you’re a seasonaire looking to round out your quiver with a loose jib board that won’t break the bank or newbie looking for something easy-going that’s not gonna kick your butt as you’re learning you’ll appreciate the soft flex and catch-free feel of the DC Focus.

Shape, Profile and Sidecut

Thanks to its longer nose, beveled edges and rocker profile, the Focus would make for a nice, easy-going powder board, shifting your weight over the tail to keep the nose out without having to lean back and feel the burn.

On hardpack the lifted contact points are a lifesaver for avoiding nasty edge catches, but on the flipside, the Focus isn’t going to be as stable as a traditional camber snowboard for charging hard. Its swings and roundabouts though, the full rocker allows for a gentle learning curve if you’re still trying to master the basics, and makes for a loose, surfy feeling snowboard if you’ve already got them down.

Construction and Materials

As well as being a great snowboard to learn the basics on, the DC Focus would be a budget friendly option for those either looking to expand their quiver or for a more experienced rider who wants something to throw around in the park.

With its mellow biax laminates and poppy dual-wood core, the Focus is ideal for locking in presses, perfecting your flatland manoeuvres and getting to grips with the kicker line. The extruded True Base isn’t the fastest on the market, but its built to take a beating when you’re hitting rails and boxes, or even the occasional hidden rock.

DC snowboards are manufactured in Austria, at CAPiTA’s Mothership Facility, with 100% clean energy.

The DC Focus is ideal for those looking to step up their game, whether it’s your first few days on snow, or you’re a regular at the hill and you’re looking for something that’ll take you to the next level and leave you with a few bucks for your lift ticket.
