Helmets and snowboarders – should we wear one or should we not? An ongoing debate we won’t be taking part of right now. Wherever you stand on this, you might want to have a look at SHRED.’s latest addition to the helmet market – The SHRED. Notion Helmet.
What makes this helmet so special then? Basically, SHRED.’s own proprietary technology keeps our heads safe as it absorbs both rotational and linear energy impact energy, whilst the hybrid construction maximizes durability without adding loads of extra weight to the helmet.
“The Notion isn’t just packed with loads of hardcore tech, but it’s also a sight for the sore eyes”
“Rather than relying on gimmicks that add unnecessary weight and bulk or applying various technologies in a piecemeal fashion, we approach the design of our helmets holistically, developing and employing technologies that truly complement one another.” – SHRED. Co-Founder and CEO Carlo Salmini.
The Notion is packed with technology, including their own Smart Impact Protection tech and their lightest and thinnest to date solution for addressing rotational forces: Rotational Energy System. Whilst the ‘RES’ does a good job in keeping the helmet light, the honeycomb-structured Slytech Schock Absorption is the one we’ve got to thank for the helmets ability to combat the linear and multi-directional forces.
Adding to its safety, SHERD.’s added a passive RECCO reflector to the mix, which enables rescue professionals to search for the helmet’s user in case you’ll wonder of the path or were to be faced with an avalanche.
Keeping us helmet heads happy, the Notion isn’t just packed with loads of hardcore tech, but it’s also a sight for the sore eyes, preventing you from looking like an egg head when charging down the groomers.
