By now you might be familiar with the rise and fall of Kaitlyn Farrington’s competitive career, but if you need to be brought up to speed then this ought to do it.
Long story short, she won’t be in South Korea to defend her Olympic halfpipe title, and is instead fully focused on exploring the backcountry. Helping her find her line will be the new Bent Metal Upshot, the first women’s model from the recently relaunched binding arm of Mervin Manufacturing.
It looks like a good fit, as her Gnu Klassy snowboard is also made by Mervin, and she’s been on their books for years. While we won’t see her flying overhead any time soon, hopefully there’ll be plenty of pow in her future.
