Following our sneak peek at a few of next season’s Burton snowboards, here’s a look at three boot/binding models in Burton’s bulging product offering for 2013/2014.
GENESIS EST BINDING
The Genesis bindings are a responsive, high end pair of binders designed for maximum suspension, comfort and performance. Featuring Burton’s new ‘Double Take’ technology – an innovative double sided buckle tongue with helical teeth to speed up engagement and reduce slipping and Burton’s new ‘Hammock Strap’ – a heelstrap combining a soft weave with a stiff spine for comfort and responsiveness, you can appreciate why the bindings received an ISPO award at this year’s European snowboard gear tradeshow.
Ion Boots
The Ion boots are another Burton product to claim an ISPO award thanks to their new stitch-free Infinite Ride Liners designed to improve fit and reduce packing out. For the second year running Burton have also joined forces with high-end tire company Pirelli to keep the car geeks among us stoked and allow riders to rock the same grip on the bottom of their feet as the stuff that goes into F1 car tires… Pretty rad if you ask us.
Tyro Boots
The Tyro boots are a softer flexing boot incorporating Burton’s unique Speed Dial lacing tech. Rather than needing to be locked and unlocked, the boa-like system allows you to micro-adjust tightness on-the-go by simply turning the dial either way as necessary.
