Why We Chose The Arbor Sequoia

There aren’t too many freeride-focused women’s bindings on the market, especially not ones that don’t break the bank, but Arbor’s Sequoia fills the gap with aplomb.

Who Is The Arbor Sequoia For?

With its al dente flex, the Arbor Sequoia isn’t for the faint of heart, or those still learning the ropes, but tailored to those who prioritise control, accuracy and best-in-class performance across whether that’s cruisy laps on piste or adventures off the beaten track.

Baseplate:

Built around a sophisticated System X baseplate, made with 15% fibreglass for precision without unnecessary weight, the Arbor Sequoia brings full hog power to the table. Designed to excel in a range of terrain and conditions, the System X baseplate transfers rider input directly to your board’s edges so you get instant response tackling the kind of steeps and deeps where every second counts and every move needs to be measured.

The cushy EVA foam layer works with the TPE outsole to absorb chatter when you’re hooning it, soak up some of the slap from big landings and deliver an overall damp and balanced feel. The Sequoia is fully adjustable in the heelcup, allowing you to dial in the perfect fit and centre your boot over the middle of the binding for enhanced board feel and response.

Straps and Highback:

The women’s specific highback uses an ergonomically outlined, asymmetric design to deliver top-notch power transfer when going edge to edge, and gives increased leverage where you need it. The Sequoia’s highback comes pre-roated to 5° for increased lateral movement and allows you to really crank down into turns and get the most out of your snowboard with every carve.

Arbor go sustainable with the Sequoia, using a specially designed BioStrap built with plant-based materials to reduce it’s overall carbon footprint and environmental impact. But don’t think it just looks good on paper, they’re super malleable and pared down to just the essentials, alleviating the risk of pressure points and pinch when cranked down over your boot, even when you’re clocking full shifts on the hill. The cast aluminium buckles are rugged as hell, built to deliver day after day, all season long.

If you’re looking for lightweight power and full adjustability at a great price point, look no further. If you’re the kind of rider who wants their gear to deliver at the highest level and you prioritise all-day comfort, you can’t go wrong with the Arbor Sequoia.
