StyleWars 2011 – Day one highlights from Australia Whatever the Aussies did to piss off the weather gods at StyleWars 2010, they’ve obviously made amends. This year’s event saw glorious blue skies, allowing the strong field to take on the immaculate course without delay.

Local lad Scotty James (aka the pipsqueak from the Aussie Olympic halfpipe team) is currently on top of the leaderboard. We’ll have to wait and see if he can stay ahead of his countrymen Clint Allan and Pete Long on day two. Whatever happens, none of them will have to worry about a challenge from Gjermund Bråten. He’s had to withdraw after snapping his collarbone.

Check back here for the full slopestyle results, as well as the highlights from Wednesday night’s famous 28 Stairs Rail Jam.
