http://mpora.com/videos/WP4ShpGn9 I have no idea what mummy de le Rue put on her sons’ cornflakes when they were growing up, but it must have been damn strong – I mean check out what they’ve grown up to be. First there’s Paul-Henri, Olympic snowboardcrosser who was widely tipped for the gold in Vancouver, then there’s Victor, the talented Rip Curl rider who has one of the best cab 9s in the business, and finally there’s this man, Xavier de le Rue. For the past couple of years, Xavier has been marked out as the heir apparent of Jeremy Jones’ big mountain crown, appearing with him in Lives of the Artists II and his split-boarding project Deeper. He’s also put in the token freeride part that used to be Jeremy’s in Standard Films’ most recent offerings. Some are even saying that the student has already outstripped the master, and even Jeremy admits that he’s never seen anyone ride such big lines so quickly. This short clip, from Rossignol’s Rooster TV, shows exactly why people get so excited about Xavier. Exclusive footage of the best in the business? You’d be silly not to watch really wouldn’t you…
