‘Off The Grid’ – Mike Basich builds a rope-tow As one of the real legends of freeriding, Mike Basich has earned a chance to quit chasing pow and take it easy. He’s gone as far as buying a nice pad (complete with wood-heated hot-tub), but that’s about as much as he’s prepared to slow down. Filmed at Donner Summit (wasn’t she big in the 70s with ‘I Feel Love’?), this Off The Grid three-parter shows Mike getting his hands dirty and putting together a rope tow so he can shred in his back yard.

It’s pretty interesting stuff – and if your dad got an electric screwdriver for Christmas and can’t stop going on about how he’s going to build a new bird-table/conservatory/rocketship, he might enjoy it too. See Parts 2 & 3 below.
