We were somewhat under the impression that the Windells Session 6 edit was the last but we were clearly mistaken! This, apparently was the final session to go down at the camp and features more consistently good park riding from the likes of loud pant rocking Jesse Paul, champion Russian swiveler Denis Leontyev, Minnesotan ripper Nial Romanek and tons of other riders we’ve never come across.
It’s interesting that we haven’t seen any really progressive new tricks from the summer camps this season. Granted, we have had Dylan Thompson’s insane 630 off and 630 on, Jesse Paul’s double boardslide to pole jam flip and Bode Merrill’s wallride to one footed backflip, but we still don’t think they quite live up to last year’s one-footed, inverted 720 Japan by Bode for example. Have these guys, as creative as they are, finally hit the proverbial roof when it comes to trying new stuff that really make you hit that rewind button? Or have we just become desensitised to the high quality of tricks these days?
