Kevin Jones in 2001’s ‘Stand And Deliver’

With the news that Kevin Jones is back riding and filming again, it seems a good time to revisit his section from Mack Dawg’s Stand And Deliver.

This is from ten (yes, ten) years ago, when KJ was top of the pile. As well as winning Transworld rider of the year a record three times, he dominated the comp circuit and still found time to record banging video parts like this.

The hallmarks of an early-noughties classic are all present and correct: shirtless riding, lots of park, an S-rail, and the song info popping up in the corner at the start. Speaking of the music, this should help debunk the popular myth that shred film soundtracks were a purely punk and hip-hop affair until the Robot Food movies came along. Granted, this is an awful tune, but you’ve got to hand it to Mack Dawg for thinking outside the box!

Kevin will be appearing in Standard Films’ next project, TB20. Can’t wait….
