UK Wizards Butta have hooked up with Becky Menday to give the definitive ‘How To…’ on waxing your shred stick. These guys have the weight of numerous back to back seasons in the dungeons of a Ski and Snowboard Rental shop in Val d’Isere to back up their knowledge, as well as developing their own hydrocarbon formulae for the wax instead of that pesky fluorocarbon wax that has blighted our environment for years…

In summary:

1) Realise that snowboard is drier than Ghandi’s sandal whilst attempting to Nosepress a box
2) Buy Butta wax
3) Pinch Mum’s iron
4) Steal Dad’s keyboard stand
5) Clean snowboard base (Bloody fluorocarbons!)
6) Set Iron to medium heat (90°C)
7) Drip wax onto snowboard with pointy end of iron facing down
8) Move iron over base not stopping for any more than 3 seconds to distribute wax evenly
9) Wait 20 minutes for Wax to seep into the base (Cup of tea optional)
10) Going from tip to tail- Push the scraper away from your body with thumbs applying pressure
11) Continue till no more wax is being removed from board (Don’t forget those edges homeslice!)
12) Use sister’s or own hairbrush to buff off the remaining wax
13) Go shred!
