I know this is 2010 and we’re supposed to be about peace and love and all that, but it’s still f**ing funny to laugh at our skiing brethren from time to time. Just take a look at these amazing clips we just found on Youtube…

1. The Hamlet Moment

Dumb and Dumber ain’t got nothing on this poor chap. It’s the music that really makes this clip though, don’t you think? Go on, play it again – you know you want to. Then refresh your memory with this.

2. The Superman

This kid has his confident, tucked-up approach all figured out – it’s just a shame he confused ‘ski jump’ with ‘gymnastic spring board’. We give him a 7.5.

3. Too Cool for School

Now call me a dinosaur, but it kinda bugs me that freeskiing has stolen its style, brands, technology and trick names from snowboarding (and no, a ‘mute’ cannot be performed on skis!!). Rail tricks are the worst – it’s like watching fruit booters down the skate park but with added poles. Eurrgh. And when they come in switch (or rather ‘backwards’ as they used to call it before stealing another term from us) like some cocky ice skater peering smugly over their shoulder, they’re just asking for it. Fortunately for this guy – ask and you shall receive.

4. The Broomstick

I think we’ve actually posted this one before? If we did, heck it’s worth another watch. What does he think this is, Quidditch? Epic, epic fail… and one that, try as you might, you just couldn’t replicate on a snowboard. Not least because it happened in Altah, Utah, where they still BAN snowboarding. WTF?! I think they call this ‘poetic justice’.
