Dangerzone – The history of grabs Nothing beats a grab. For beginners it’s the big milestone: forget linked turns, once you can get in the air and grab then you’ve arrived. In the upper echelons of the pro circuit, they are just as important. Would Torstein Horgmo’s first triple cork have been as legitimate had he not grabbed his board? Not a chance. Obviously there are a few exceptions to the rule, but for pretty much everything else, it’s a must.

The Dangerzone crew know this, and showcase their grabbing steeze in this video. Better than the grabs, though, is the pisstake voiceover, which anyone who’s seen First Descent will appreciate: “Current snowboarding is breaking barriers as significant as Apollo 13’s flight into space”. Ha! They do make a serious point at the end though: “style will always resonate above stunts”. Well said.
