Practice for the 2013 Burton US Open in Vail, Colorado is well underway this week with men’s and women’s slopestyle semi finals kicking off the judged proceedings on Wednesday. Here’s Seb Toots taking a run through this year’s course.
The course starts off with a basic downrail/stairset feature which leads into one of the raddest features we’ve seen on a slopestyle course in bloody ages – a big central wallride, with two opposite facing wallrides on either side, finishing up with different rail options on both sides. After that there’s yet another choice of rails (polejam to down rail, canon box and battleship rail) followed by the now pretty much obligatory triple jump line.
Overall it’s a sick looking course and to say that we’re excited to see what goes down on it is an understatement. From what we can gather from their Twitter feeds, Jamie Nicholls and Aimee Fuller will both be riding and although we don’t have confirmation yet, hopefully Billy Morgan will be as well, especially seeing as he just stomped his first ever backside triple cork 1440 out in Breckenridge. Footage to follow shortly…
Oh, and bringing it back to Seb Toots, here he is taking a top to bottom run through the Vail public park – looks fun for sure but it’s hardly Bear Mountain is it?
