Val Thorens was the destination for the maiden voyage, and from the looks of things it was a winner. They certainly managed to tick off what we’d call ‘the essentials’: scenic mountain roads, sunshine, good food, beers, dogboarding…

If you’re in Les Deux Alpes next week, you’ll no doubt see ‘Jumbo George’ parked up for the summer shred. They’ll be chasing the surf after that, after which they’ll be ready for a full winter of pow-chasing.
