Did you ever read that book called ‘Hows Things Work’ when you were a kid? It systemically explained with big-ass pictures how things like telephones and walkmans *oldie alert* worked, along with all those weird things you think are fascinating when you’re 11.
This video is kind of like that geeky book, giving us an albeit short but sweet behind-the-scenes look at how the Vans Penken Park in Mayrhofen is planned, designed, shaped and groomed.
It’s undoubtedly one of the best parks in Europe with six areas catering from teeny tots hitting their first kicker to 50ft kickers in the pro line. Plenty of Brit pros spent last spring lapping this park. Just check Jamie Nicholls here throwing some heavy hitters on their groomed-to-perfection cheese wedges.
Some of us prefer not to know the ins-and-outs of how a park is made. We just want to ride it, which is fair. For others, it’s still kind of fascinating. After all, it’s not exactly the most ordinary of jobs, is it?
