Trollhaugen Opening Weekend With 1817

Trollhaugen, Wisconsin. Essentially not much bigger than a snowdome – it’s tiny, and yet has been consistently providing some of the highest standard rail edits for the last few years!

Trollhaugen, Wisconsin. Essentially not much bigger than a snowdome.

Previously it’s offered up (now internationally known) riders like Burton’s Ethan Deiss – and in the latest House of 1817 it’s a crew of maybe less familiar names, but equally rad riding! Gracing the season opening edit are: Austin Young, Cody Beiersdorf, Oliver Dixon, Peter Limbergh, Kyle Kennedy, Jesse Paul, Mike Skiba, Jeffy Gabrick, Benny Milam and Jake Antisdel.

Having survived the collisions and near misses that open this edit – the crew go on to completely wreck the shit out of that small patch of snow, with flex defiant boardslides that gap the flat sections of a down-flat-down (1.05), too many hardway-on tricks to count, and mid rail body contortion that most of us couldn’t even fathom.

With this just being early season, when many people will be taking the slow but steady route to progression, we’re stoked to see these lot aren’t holding back, and we’ll definitely be watching to see how the rest of the winter will progress over there!
