Last season, experienced Swiss backcountry shredder Emilien Badoux climbed his way into the top 5 ranking snowboarders on the Freeride World Tour. How? Well, have a look at this video. Some of Emilien’s lines in this edit are absolutely mental.
Filmed at his home turf in the Swiss Wallis Alps it provides you with a hefty dose of deep powder, steep faces and sizeable cliff drops all ridden at about a million miles an hour and accompanied by a soundtrack of suitably beefy guitars.
Unfortunately the press release accompanying the whole thing was characterised by some slightly wishy-washy quotes (sample line: “Live The Search is to be in search of perfection, that perfect feeling or drawing the perfect line. There may be no need to travel too far, as the perfect spot could be home, the place you know best, and you can guarantee that you will shred it apart.” Emilien Badoux) but we’ll let him off because 1) He’s a French-speaker, they can’t help turning everything into philosophical vagueries and 2) He f*cking rips!
