Oh dear Lord….
Congratulations are due to Felix Georgii, Enzo Nilo and Markus Mathis, the three riders who have made the final of the Nike Chosen Sessions in Silvretta Montafon, Austria. It’s disappointment for the UK’s Andy Nudds, though, who put in a stonking performance but missed the cut by the narrowest of margins.
Once the thousands of public votes were tallied, Nuddsy missed out on a podium place by a mere two votes!
The online vote has left Nuddsy in the ‘Andy Murray’ position – miles ahead of fifth place, yet just outside the top three. Obviously we could sit and talk about the merits of the Facebook voting system until the cows come home, but the fact remains that a Yorkshire postie who came up on dryslopes and domes has duked it out with the best ams in Europe, and crushed it. There’s no way his steezy-as-balls performance is going unnoticed by the wider riding community in the long run.
Head to the Nike Chosen Sessions website to see those hard-to-believe final scores, and see the three winning edits for yourself.
