SnowSkool New Zealand 2009

Last chance to escape the dreary economic crisis and head to beautiful Wanaka for the southern hemisphere’s best skiing and snowboarding!!

New Zealand’s highest lift served skiing resort Cardrona is fully prepared for the 2009 season that will kick off for them in early June. The resort has a new FIS certified trail that will run into the Arcadia Basin and be suitable for slalom and grand slalom races. Visitors will be treated to a brand new 22ft half pipe and 100% snowmaking coverage following last year’s extension into the Captain’s Basin region. Bridget Legnavsky, Cardrona’s Snowsports Manager, is anticipating their best season yet. ‘It’s a great step forward for the resort, we have been looking into this area for some time and now have snowmaking and a new trail, which will challenge advanced skiers and riders as well as help free up other areas of the mountain which are currently being used for training.’

For details on how you can make the most of the new terrain and become an internationally qualified ski or snowboard instructor with SnowSkool at Cardrona visit www.snowskool.co.uk.
