Snowball Rally launched

Young people’s charity Snow-Camp is calling for entrants for a brand new event – the Snowball Rally.

A sort of snowboarding equivalent of the Gumball Rally – the epic race that sees people with too much money and too little sense driving supercars across the US each year – this contest challenges teams to hit up as many of the UK’s sno-domes and dryslopes as they can over a three-day period.

Setting off from the Milton Keynes Sno-zone on November 18th, teams are expected to gun their way around the country as quickly as possible, shredding each of the 43 participating slopes they come to – and raising money for charity as they go.

Teams collect points for each slope they hit, with the further away slopes counting for more. There will be prizes for the team who have gathered the most points by November 21st.

Dan Charlish, director of Snow Camp, said: “It’s like a cross between the
Cannonball Run and the Gumball Rally only with skiing and snowboarding
thrown in!”

To get involved in this fun, feel-good event, all you have to do is head over to www.snow-camp.co.uk/snowballrally and pledge to raise at least £250 in sponsorship for the Snow Camp charity. So why not start signing up your friends, relatives and random people you meet in the street as sponsors, and get your Gumball on for a good cause.
