Freestyle sessions, parties and the 15th CHECK THE RIPPER contest including the legendary wild boar BBQ: the snowboard scene is looking forward to the SNICKERS NORDPARK SESSIONS 2009 presented by Atomic at Innsbruck’s Nordpark. From February 19th to 22nd 2009, many internationally renowned riders will join in the sessions at the snow park, the half-pipe and the all mountain course!

The warm-up: Skyline Expression Session
On February 19th 2009, the Skyline Expression Session will once again give the SNICKERS NORDPARK SESSIONS the go-ahead. For this open session, new extra obstacles will be erected at the Nordpark’s Skyline Park allowing the riders to show creative and innovative manoeuvres. This format guarantees high-level freestyle riding within the scope of a photo-shooting. At the afternoon, the SNICKERS Highest Air Session will take place at the Skyline Park’s quarter-pipe.

Under floodlight: Hit da Pipe
On Friday evening, February 20th 2009, the Hit da Pipe Session will be held at the 120-metre super-pipe, which will be perfectly prepared for the event. All riders are welcome to enjoy a joint evening with a nice BBQ high above the lights of Innsbruck.

Wanted: the ultimate Ripper!
Finally, the traditional Check the Ripper competition will once again be the highlight of the SNICKERS NORDPARK SESSIONS: at February 21st 2009 (bad weather day: February 22nd), it will take place for the 15th time! Sporting a worldwide unique format, this contest will identify the ultimate all-round rippers on snowboards and skis. The course will lead over several freestyle elements, perfectly shaped banks and the ungroomed, 70-percent steep Osthang (East Slope) down to the finish line. This combination of style and speed is truly unique: you can only win if you get the time bonus for showing stylish tricks at the park section and if you are also one of the strongest freeriders at the off-piste terrain.

High-carat non-cash prizes like surfboards, travels, downhill MTBs and more await the participants… And the legendary wild boar BBQ concluding the Check the Ripper contest on Saturday as well as several parties during the week will for sure also add to some terrific days at the SNICKERS NORDPARK SESSIONS presented by Atomic!
