It seems while the rest of the UK industry was trying out next year’s boards at the annual snowboard test in Kaunertal last week, Rome UK’s head honcho Scott Todd was lining up a new model of his own in the form of team rider Scott Penman. ‘Scotty P’, who broke onto the scene with a 70+ foot cliff drop to face smash in Tignes, is a ballsy rider who’s been tearing up the slopes from Hemel to Breck for a few years now. He’s also a top lad with some mad skills on the mic (seriously, you shoulda heard his beat box skills at the pub quiz night, and his hilarious commentary at the Whitelines Rail Jam). Unfortunately it seems he’s gone and died only a few days into his new deal. Balls. He was a good c**t.
