Proslope – is this the future of dryslope snowboarding?

Even as Danny McCormick, Marc McClement and the rest of the Glasgow kids push the limits of what’s possible on Snowflex, others are already looking for its successor. The Snowtrax Ski Centre in Dorset has installed the world’s first ‘Proslope’, a new addition to the dryslope world. Here’s a super cheesy publicity photo:

Snowtrax's Colin Iseard. Is 'e 'ard enough to do this on Dendix?

As soon as we saw that diamond formation, we immediately experienced flashbacks of painful sessions on tatty Dendix slopes. However, the guys behind Proslope reckon it’s an improvement on that surface’s cushioning, while providing better grip than Snowflex. Snowtrax certainly seem to think so – they’re laying heaps of the stuff in the months to come. If you’re near enough to the facility and are able to get some turns in on the stuff, please let us know what it’s like!
