Lake Tahoe legend Mike Basich has signed for Flow Snowboards, joining the brand’s international team for boards, boots and bindings. Basich’s is a name that, for many people, will need little introduction. Having been a fixture on the international scene since he started riding with his older sister Tina back in 1985, and has been pushing the boundaries of big mountain freestyle for more than two decades. One of the most memorable moments in this long career has to be this insane 130-foot acid drop from a helicopter onto an Alaskan mountainside…
Despite the fact that he settled down and built his own house (the awesome-looking Area 241) recently, Mike is still killing it. Just check out this photo of him eyeing up an epic cliff drop at this year’s King of the Hill contest!
It’s no surprise therefore, that Flow decided to sign this awesome rider, even at this late stage in his career. Mike will be joining the likes of Scotty Lago, Tim Humphries, and Sarka Panchocova on the international team.
