To celebrate the eagerly awaited launch of DC Snowboards in the UK, DC will be laying down the red carpet to welcome pro freestylers and DC Global Snow Team members, Devun Walsh, Lauri Heiskari, Iikka Backstrom and Aaron Biittner, who’ll be heading across the Atlantic to London for one of the biggest weeks in the UK snowsports calendar.
The team will be hitting the capital this week and heading to the Snow+Rock stand at the Metro Ski & Snowboard Show, where they’ll be giving away DC product and signing posters, t-shirts and no doubt a host of inappropriate items along the way!
Get down to the Snow+Rock stand (No. 435) where the guys will be doing two official signing sessions, come early as the last one the guys threw had hundreds lining up around the venue:
– Friday 24th October, 7.30pm – Snow+Rock stand (No.435)
– Saturday 25th October, 4.45pm – Metro Show Roof Terrace Bar
DC is proud to be launching its premiere snowboard line in the UK for 2009 with the boards being the latest development in DC’s 10 years of performance driven snow products, which includes boots, outerwear, accessories and apparel. The Snow+Rock stand will be showcasing a vast array of DC products to buy, including the HKD Pro Devun Walsh board, the 10th Anniversary Serum Snowboard Boots along with a wide selection of outerwear from DC’s most comprehensive collection to date. Snow+Rock will also exclusively be giving away a free copy of the DC MTN.LAB 1.5 DVD with every DC snowboard or boots purchased at the show.
After the team has finished up at the Metro Show, they’ll be heading over to The Fire Station, Hammersmith on Friday 24th October for what’s known in the trade as, a ‘MASH-UP’ of biblical proportions, for the DC Snowboards Launch and SCUK birthday bash. The evening will kick off with the UK premiere of Mack Dawg’s highly anticipated anniversary movie, “Double Decade”. As the movie credits role, the evening will transcend seamlessly into a hotbed of cranking beats. Making you bop like Lionel – all night long, DC musical envoys, “Funk Royale” have been flown in from their collective corners of the globe to throw-down a block-rocking jam of raw soul, deep funk, breaks and hip hop to induce a highly infectious strain of bug-out fever into the deadest of feet.
