British Snowboard Tour Hits Halifax

After a great British Championships in Laax, Switzerland the British Snow Tour is back on UK soil and looking forward to kicking off its first event, the Quiksilver Big Air Championships in Halifax this weekend – 5th & 6th July 2008.

With a massive local scene and arguably the best snowflex kickers in the UK, Halifax looks set to be an epic first event and new addition to this year’s Tour. The Schools Tour Team, along with local rippers, Jamie Nicholls, James Box and Wayne Taylor will also be visiting two local secondary schools before the event to spread the word and encourage more kids to get involved by dishing out 200 FREE beginner lessons.

The Quiksilver Rail Jam will get the day’s competition off the ground followed by the highly anticipated Quiksilver Big Air Championships where the UK’s best will throw down the most insane tricks over the 10m kicker with the hopes of winning the coveted title. The Quiksilver lesson academies will offer 200 beginners the chance to take their first turns for FREE during the event, whilst our demo sponsors K2, Ride, DC Snowboards and LINE and K2 ski’s will be laying on their full range of hardware kit to test drive.
